Keeping a low profile is easy.

Edge-lit technology makes wafers the ultra-thin downlight.

Built for tight spaces and tight budgets.

Canless wafer downlights eliminate the need for bulky housings. Their ultra-low-profile design makes them a flexible solution for both new construction and remodeling installations in low ceilings. Available in four sizes, six wattages and four color temperatures. With both smooth and baffle trim options, RAB wafers are a practical, economical choice that won’t sacrifice performance.

Off-board driver.

Installations are super flexible with an off-board driver that minimizes installation height, maximizes thermal management, and eliminates the need for a j-box or recessed housing.
A plenum-rated cable connector links the downlight module to the remote driver, and then the module snaps into place with the adjustable, spring-loaded retention arms.
The remote driver box has quick connectors, knockouts and plenty of space for daisy chain wiring or adding an emergency backup unit.

Foolproof installations.

The wafer’s spring-loaded clips are adjustable and designed to be used with various drywall thicknesses. Their long length makes them easy to install, and their heavy-duty design makes sure they stay in place. Wafers even include a large flange to compensate for holes that are cut incorrectly.

Maximize your output.

While standard, back-lit downlights deliver light in a more vertical pattern (putting more light directly on the work surface), the wafer's edge-lit technology uses a reflective panel that disperses a wider pattern of light with a smoother distribution that reduces glare.

Economy that performs.

All wafers are dimmable—with either TRIAC (120V) compatibility, or 0-10V dimming on commercial models—and Title 24 compliant.  Optional 90CRI provides more accurate color rendering, making them ideal for commercial applications where color is critical. Universal voltage models are also available.

But wait, there's more.

Universal voltage models are ideal for commercial applications. Available in 6" and 8" sizes, with both smooth and baffle trim options, these wafers are the ultimate in flexibility.

Universal voltage

Anywhere you want it.

All models are IC rated for direct contact with insulation and suitable for use in dry, damp and wet locations, making them perfect for both indoor use (i.e. showers) and outdoor use (like soffits). Extension power cables are available in three sizes to help you get these lights exactly where you need them.

5-year, no-compromise warranty.

The RAB 5-year, no-compromise warranty covers light output, color stability, driver performance, paint finish and labor. RAB's warranty is subject to all terms and conditions found at

50,000-hour LED lifespan.

At 10 hours daily use, RAB LEDs are rated to last 13 years, dramatically reducing maintenance and re-lamping costs.
