RAB's hybrid A/B tubes can be used as plug and play (UL Type A) or as a double-ended ballast bypass (UL Type B) retrofit. For Type A installation simply remove the fluorescent tube and replace it with our hybrid—no rewiring required. If the Instant Start ballast should fail, simply cut the ballast from the system and wire the tube directly to line voltage 120-277V!
