These field-adjustable wafer downlights allow you to change color temperature (2700/3000/3500/4000/5000K ) with the flick of a switch! They’re ideal for both new construction and retrofit applications. Models are offered in round and square shapes, 3", 4", 5", 6" and 8" with either smooth or baffled trims.
Installations are super flexible with an off-board driver that minimizes installation height, maximizes thermal management, and eliminates the need for a traditional recessed housing or "can". A plenum-rated cable connector links the downlight module to the remote driver, and then the module snaps into place with the adjustable, spring-loaded retention clips.
The remote driver box has quick connectors, knockouts and plenty of space for daisy chain wiring or adding an emergency backup unit.
The wafer’s spring-loaded clips are adjustable and designed to be used with various drywall thicknesses. Their long length makes them easy to install, and their heavy-duty design makes sure they stay in place. Wafers even include a large flange to compensate for holes that are cut incorrectly.
While standard, back-lit downlights deliver light in a more vertical pattern (putting more light directly on the work surface), the wafer's edge-lit technology uses a reflective panel that disperses a wider pattern of light with a smoother distribution that reduces glare.
All wafers are dimmable—with most common TRIAC forward and reverse phase cut dimmers (120V) —and Title 24 compliant. 90 CRI provides accurate color rendering, making them ideal for commercial applications where color is critical. Universal voltage models are also available.
Only select models are IC rated for direct contact with insulation and suitable for use in dry, damp, and wet locations, making them perfect for both indoor use (i.e. showers) and outdoor use (like soffits). Extension power cables are available in three sizes to help you get these lights exactly where you need them.
The RAB 5-year, no-compromise warranty covers light output, color stability, driver performance, paint finish and labor. RAB's warranty is subject to all terms and conditions found at rablighting.com/warranty.
At 10 hours daily use, RAB LEDs are rated to last 13 years, dramatically reducing maintenance and re-lamping costs.
Suitable for wet locations.
Suitable for use in closets, compliant with NFPA® 70, NEC® Section 410.16 (A)(1) and 410.16 (C)(3).
For even more savings, the Field-Adjustable Edgelit Wafer is available in Energy Star models.
Can be used to comply with 2019 Title 24 Part 6 high-efficacy LED light source requirements.
